This game is all on Manny and his incompetent managing, and playing all his "homeboys".

I'm not for firing Manny, but in my limited watching, he has had two glaring asleep at the wheel moments (one in Pitt which was inconsequential, but was sloppy nonetheless, and one tonight). there must be more

Flores had a real good AB. He just couldn't come up with a hit. Same with Bernadina. Young blew it.

I know you like at bats that see a lot of pitches but I reserve my respect for productive ones. I'll take a first pitch single over a 10 pitch strike out any day.

Rauch was embarrassing. Completely unacceptable. Our bullpen is crap. Rauch gave up more earned runs in that inning than our pitchers had given up all freaking series over 27 innings.

We should have won it in the 9th though. If Young successfully bunts we win.

Maybe, but there isn't any reason to be playing Flop, Colome, and Wily No.  None.

there really isnt anyone else. and those three really didnt do anything to hurt us

This is the kind of baseball that explains the empty seats. Don't get me wrong I'm a die-hard fan and will go to games no matter what, but the average DC resident will not spend money to go watch sloppy baseball. We need to make at-least one move, at-most one move this off-season to just make the games exciting to watch.

Bernadina fouled off hittable pitches down the middle. The best he was going to do was walk. A hit was out of the question and the pitcher probably knew Bernadina was going to miss one eventually

F Rauch. That should be the winning run on 2nd with no outs.

Pete Orr is going to tease everybody into thinking we actually are going to come from behind AGAIN.      I'd rather just lose outright.

I would have rather lost 2-0 than losing like this. Bullcrap. Only the Nats.

Where was that double when we needed it? We never get clutch hits. Just one clutch hit in the 9th would've sent the team to clubhouse victorious and Rauch could've defecated in the clubhouse as opposed to the mound.

fair enough. but i think some of us were just elated to have tied the game, we were willing to let anything go. manny shouldnt be allowed to use that excuse.  i hope someone asks him about it in the press conference.  but it is one of those ridiculous baseball situations that are widely accepted where some guys just arent asked to bunt

Exactly there's losing ...and then there's LOSING.  Kinda like dieing...you can die of a massive heart attack and drop like a sack of bricks...or you can suffer for months of some deabilitating disease and die in your own piss.

Agreed, you just will not win games with guys like him in the line-up. But we have nothing better, THAT IS READY.

Dmitri Young has been playing baseball for 12 years. Surely he could have laid a bunt down.
