Can we catch the Mets?

we are about 4 games back of the Mets.

whaddya think, can we catch them, and put them in the cellar?

getting out of the cellar would be awesome alone, swapping spots with the hated mutts would be even more satisfying. it's definitely doable.

despite the moves they made, the mutts are still the same team that catastrophically collapsed last year.

It's doable, but depends on us somehow generating some freaking offense.  We aren't going to catch anyone if we don't improve our dreadful hitting.   

I had hoped back in February that we would earn 4th place and compete for 3rd place this year.  Now I'll be happy if we finish in 4th.

I'm still optimistic about the future.  But this is the last year that I give Bowden and Kasten the benefit of the doubt that we're moving in the right direction.  If they don't go out and make some free agent moves this off-season & we field the same AAA lineup in 2009, I plan a nasty write-in campaign.

The NYPD would have to go on high alert to protect all Mets fans' mothers...

Its very possible especially since we aren't even playing our best baseball and our best players[ Johnson, Zimerman] are hurt I think we can very easily go ahead of them.
