It sucks when your 3rd hitter might as well be a just called up scrub.

Zimmerman's earning an option to the minors in my opinion. He's got all of them left, and I think in his 6th year you have to get his permission.

In fairness, Bergmann had more than just one bad outing. Look at tomterp's recent posting of VORP, Bergmann was negative 8, I think. :?

True, but even if he had 3 straight outings like this, then one poor one, do you really think the beach ball wouldn't be broken out? Hey, I think it's funny sometimes, but there shouldn't be a problem w/ showing excitement for an outing like this one, too. Why contain it?

Some people insist that what he has earned is a phat contract.

Bergmann was throwing strikes in the 90's, low 80's, and high 60's today. How can you not like that?

His outing today was outstanding, no question about it. No runs over 7 innings and he was close to dominant.

Hate to sound like AZ but RZ is leading the team in HRs and RBIs. Where is the hate on Kearns and Milledge? They are much freaking worse, especially considering how poor their D has been.
