I don't know what some peoples' expectations are for Milledge? .400 50 HRs 150 RBIs?

see what I did there?

not really.  he's got to string together 5 or 6 straight before we can even think about declaring his slump over.

Nice to see something out of him finally. My only request:

Do it again.

I know.  It was a shot at those fans we have here that think baseball is a season with "do-or-die" consequences on a nightly basis.

i want to see LM do this for a week straight before I call his slump over.  Dukes on the otherhand needs to start doing SOMETHING on offense.  And Kearns, well just keep him away from the field.

I attended tonight's game (unfortunately). I saw something that spoke volumes about how Milledge's defense has been so far this season.

In the process of Milledge making a catch relatively early in the game, a glove fell out of his back pocket. Afterward, as he walked back into position, Pena picked up the glove at tossed it to him. Milledge dropped it. To me, that pretty much typifies his season, as far as his defense is concerned.

I'm sorry, I don't understand this at all - what does Millege's glove have to do with his defense?

A clear demonstration of his inability to catch an item, be it a ball, or a glove.   :icon_frown:

It keeps smacking him on the ass so it distracts him.

Shame on that frisky glove!

Neither did wpa.

Once Annie gets back and sees how she's been dissed by wpa, we're going to have one of these scenarios breaking out on the forum.

Taking the veteran over the rookie, huh?  Hard to argue with the logic.

Absolutely, even though we wanted to trade her last season but there wasn't equal value

I'm thinking about popping some popcorn and kicking back in the easy chair.  This could be entertaining!

Not really, unless you are easily amused or enjoy trying to incite people, in which case, woohoo! ;)

Indeed, I am thinking a slow turnaround is happening. His batting average has gone up 4 points this week.

Sigh ... boys, boys, boys ... did you enjoy yourselves?

BTW ... I'm getting tired of my name being bantered around in trade talks -- I have a no trade clause - and I'm not going anywhere ... :)
