F#cking terrible. Rivera is a bum.
Like a strike it is a judgment call.
It was definitely a balk. That's exactly why pitchers don't make that move much anymore. It's almost always a balk.
Dude you think everyone is a bum.
stick a fork in us now boys....we're done.
Get that scrub out of the game. You can't walk Ty Wiggington.
This is the smallest strike-zone I have ever seen.
nobody ever calls it as one...I've seen it done countless times in the majors without a call.
That scrub is one of our best relievers.
And it shouldn't be because it's almost always the same. Technically, it is a balk, but it's almost impossible not to as a right-hander making that move. Rivera did the exact same thing a few pitches before that.
So many things could have prevented them from scoring in that inning. Misplay by Milledge, girly throw by Lo Duca, bogus balk call, etc.
Well, technically, every call is a judgment call. And some judgments are wrong
We've done it 100 times this year and no balk call.
