Holy cow what a freaking gem. 4 hits, complete game, first career shut out. Both career CGs are vs. the Mets and they both came this year.

He's moved up to 38th among all MLB starters in VORP, which would imply he's a solid #2 starter.

That coupled with the other stats shows he's an average pitcher. Helluva performance last night but it was against a 4A team. Kinda like seeing one scrub after another turn in a dominating performance against us night after night and then turning around and watching them get shelled by other teams in the league.

If you use W/L to gauge a pitcher, then you should stop watching baseball.
