Damn, RIP. I met him and got him to sign his book for me a few years ago in Charlotte.

R.I.P.

So let it be written, so let it be done.

In the 1960s Heston was an early, vocal and visible participant in the Civil Rights movement; joining Martin Luther King's march on Washington. He had been the president of the Screen Actors Guild and chairman of the American Film Institute.

Difficult to select a favorite film. He had so many roles. Ben Hur, perhaps.

I killed the first born Pharoah's son. I'm Creeping Death!

Omega Man is hilarious. Too bad he went off the deep end as he got older. He was definitely a big time individual rights activist - be it civil rights or gun rights.

He was married for 64 years! That stumbling around in the desert for 40 years was a mere stopover by comparison.

Definitely a major accomplishment, particularly for a Hollywood marriage.

Hasn't Britney Spears been divorced a couple of times? Doesn't seem like Heston was trying at all.

I think that Liz Taylor may hold the title in that category.

It seems like you have to start young and really dedicate yourself. Me I'm too lazy which probably was Charlton Heston's problem.
