EB finished 3/4 with a walk, run and SB tonight. Man I can't wait until we get a look at him up here.

We'll see if he's a AAAA dud or a speedy phenom. We should have a moratorium on nagging until the guy can actually play and show what he's got.

I'm also wondering how Rauch does on a team that is actually expected to win. Seeing how players respond to change is just another joy of being a baseball fan.

Wow, that was quick. Man I didn't realize he was that fast? I thought he was more of a power guy.

That's a nice start, im already excited. I think he is projected to be an all around player, he has been compared to milledge.Also, nice start for Smoker, i think it was his best start since playing in professionals.

Yeah at least we have someone on our team who can come back ahead of schedule for once. Let's just hope he's not trying to force it.

Awesome, I had been waiting for this.  Not a bad debut, either.  In regards to speed, I remember reading something I about his speed.  When I looked it up, it was from the MLB Draft page and Hood's "enhanced report":

Base running:   His speed helps him, but his baserunning skills are a little raw.
 

It was also nice to see that Bonifacio has been doing well.  I have a feeling he will be up in early August.

The Clippers play-by-play guy said that Bonifacio is looking amazing at that the Nats people are getting really very impressed with him.

I was just watching that, as well.  He also mentioned that they wouldn't call him up until he was able to be the everyday second baseman.  I think after Thursday the problem with Lopez will be settled (traded or cut I hope) and it will open the way for Bonifacio.

Another infield prospect, Ian Desmond, has been doing pretty well since returning from injury.  Desmond is 10 for 28 with 3 doubles, 2 home runs, and 8 RBIs since his return.  He has also stolen two bases and struck out five times since returning.

Yeah, Desmond is still only 22 (turns 23 next month) so maybe it's finally coming together for him? Man what a nice surprise that would be if he kept hitting and eventually became our future SS.

Nice start by Alaniz today: 6 IP 4 H 2 R 2 ER 2 BB 3 K. He's thrown 5 consecutive quality starts.

Desmond and Bonifacio - our defense would be impenetrable. They have to hit though . . .
