It shouldn't be long before this kid is an everyday player for us.

I figure they should play Maxwell pretty much every game this final week the way they played Zimmerman for Vinny in 2005. This kid could be a big answer to a lot of questions and allow us to spend some money elsewhere if he ends up the everyday CF.

awful Felipe... Bergmann faces the 3-4-5 hitters.  It will be a miracle if he finishes the inning

We're going to need more offense but we REALLY need one more scoreless inning out of Jason!

Bergmann hot with the stick!

Belliard to Bergmann: "If you've GOT a good stick, you can hit with one."

How awesome would that be! It would definitely give us some flexibility. At the very least I think we need to cool off on trying to acquire a long term answer at CF. Maybe a one year solution for next year is all we'll need. But we need to address our leadoff spot. We need someone that can have a high OBP in that hole and I don't see that person on the team right now.

GREAT pitch to Alou.  He'll chase ANYTHING much like Francoeur.  They both can hit strikes but both have no patience.

Church and Maxwell platoon in CF, Nook on the bench. Sounds good to me.

THROW STRIKES FOR GOD'S SAKE!!! This is why Manny has such a quick hook normally.  He's giving Jason a chance to finish the inning and Jason responds by throwing balls to 2 bad hitters.

We cannot get guys to go deep into games. This is frustrating. Ace my ass! We struggle to get guys go 6 innings and praise them when they do. This type of crap kills the bullpen so that even when that's a strength it becomes weakened and susceptible late in the season.

That's actually not bad. But where do we get a leadoff hitter with a high OBP?

Absolutely! Bergmann should have gone 7 innings tonight instead he is only going to go 5.2.  Walking Delgado and Lo Duca makes no ****ing sense

:?

Take this POS out of the game! When your bats give you 6 runs you have to give the team at least 7 innings and more like 8.

That third out is like a mirage, appearing so close but just out of reach.  :'(

Are you kidding?  Belliard made that happen?  Please.

I just saw the entire DP and you're right 2K6. Zimmerman's pick and throw were the catalyst for that DP but Belliard's pivot was also clutch.
