Where is metssuck? He should be enjoying this. Also AZ has to be loving this early lead since he's probably watching the game on TV.
Nook Logan is on the bench, though.
Give him a stick of gum, Pimp-Man.

I know I said I wouldn't but after the offense gives him a 4 run cushion he goes up and throws a beachball! Inexcusable.

I don't blame Bob for that plate of meat Bergmann served Reyes. But I bet Bob's comment has to be driving evolution33 nuts! :lol:

Who wants to be bet, regardless of the outcome of this game, Reyes' homerun will be the first highlight on Baseball Tonight?  >:(

Jason always gives up first inning homers but usually settles down thereafter.  Good job Jason

What did he say?

Less than a minute before Reyes stepped up to the plate he commented that Rollins had led off with a bomb and then said "Hopefully Reyes won't do the same here."

Too quick that inning. They have a tendency to nap after a lead (ala Joe Gibbs). We can't afford that. They have to keep hammering away.

The WORST time to give a pitcher a quick inning!

Scoring in that inning was much less important than keeping Glavine on the mound for as long as possible.

We score 4 in the first yet the momentum is completely in the favor of the Mets..

ALSO born today, besides Jay-Berg:
Actor Will Smith born 1968
Actress Heather Locklear born 1961
Actor Christopher Reeve born 1952
Actor Mark Hamill born 1951
Actor Michael Douglas born 1944

But how many of THEM have given up a home run to the first batter they faced?  Huh? Huh?

As opposed to Kearns' badass or Batista's badass?

absolutely. Badass = a culmination of crazy awesome qualities.

Batista = badass in Japan
Kearns = badass potential
Reyes = badass
