Two teams with payrolls under $40 million.

Let's challenge them, double or nothing, to make it a FIFTEEN inning game!!!
Whoever loses pays the other team $37 million.

21 hits and 4 BB's in 8 innings.  That is 25 baserunners over 3 an inning!

I have watched the Marlins in person quite a lot this year.  Other than the Tigers they are the most impressive hitting team in the league.  Having said that Randy figured out after the first three games of the year that you had to change speeds against them constantly and throw high fastballs.  Tonight everything was up from Bascik from the first pitch so I knew he was toast.  Rivera changed some speed early but left some breaking pitches up.  Colome just tried to throw fastballs which is a mistake.  Schroder was unlucky.
Hopefully tomorrow Hanrahan has some location on his fastball and curveball or it will be a long flight home.

Well, Abreu was awesome tonight. Pitcher of the game for us, IMO.
He was terrible.  He threw 6 balls to Uggla and Uggla swung at 3 of them.  I thought Schroder + Albaladejo looked the best but even they got shelled.

EVERY pitcher was bad...  That, by definition, makes it the worst pitching performance of the season.

what if it happened more than once?...that every pitcher pitched badly, I mean.

by definition, both would be the worst pitching performance of the season...and that's just wrong.

No doubt this was the worst pitching performance of the season and it hurt even more because J-Max had a nice grand slam and our usually stagnant offense scored 8 runs.

I'll have to look at the numbers and video on this one. I just can't believe y'all.

GAME OVER.  WE LOSE.

Uggla's on my Forum Head-2-Head fantasy team.  He's been slumping lately, but since WE were coming to town, I left him in the lineup.  He's provided 13 fantasy points so far, and I'm catching up to Senators2005 in the playoff.  (Sens' became MIA, but made it in anyway.) Racab's Florida Bombers are beating the crap out of Mean Machines in the other playoff game...

I don't think you can say "twas" and "y'all" on the same page.
It's hurricane season down there...
