Hi Kimnat! Ali's in San Fran on business, poor thing had a 4 hour delay leaving and got in at some awful hour, only to have a meeting at 7:30 this morning. Poor thing. Anyway, about our roof, yes, we thought about doing it ourselves, but by the time we bought everything/painted/cleaned up, etc. we wondered when we would find the time. So we went ahead and paid the company to do it. They came, replaced the dormer roof and painted, all in a day. Better than we could have done. Plus I don't like heights, so Ali would have had to do the whole thing himself. Pretty much...

Well, I'm glad it all worked out!  Heights are fun for a lot of folks!  Hope he gets to sleep well tonight and enjoy the sights!!!

In San Fran?  Cool.  If you can take a ride near or tour Big Sur, its worth a look!  Gorgeous Scenery!  I was there years ago and it was fantastic.  At least see if the Giants are in town!

Ali is still in San Fran, it's a work trip. He's had a lot of deadlines lately, so sorry he hasn't gotten back to you about a lunch date. I'm sure when he gets time he'll let you know. He's always interested in food! Maybe I'll even come join you guys!

Nice of you to ask!!  I'm over here counting chickens on the other coast, alas too busy to make it to the Giants/Cubs series (I badly wanted to hit a game here while wearing the Nats hat I brought along for the occasion...not sure whether I'd boo the Giants or Cubs more loudly - hard call). 

I was fairly shocked to see when I got back to my hotel that the Orioles sent a baseball team to a basketball game...DOH!!! 

Hope all's well back there, and hope to see everyone for closing day!
