Doesn't Fick at the plate just inspire confidence?

I don't understand the lack of bunting ability on this team.

They seriously need to spend an entire off day bunting. 8 hours, just bunting. It shouldn't be this hard.

Just like that a promising inning turns into an easy one for the other pitcher.

Fick hits what should have been ball 3 into a DP.. leadoff hitter on and then 3 quick outs.  this team had it's chance to win and Chad blew it.  They should just give it up here so they can rest and try to win tomorrow.

Open letter to Mr. Lerner, Mr. Kasten and Mr. Bowden:

Please do not allow Chad Cordero to come in for another save opportunity.  Cut him, trade him, move him to middle relief, hell even start him for all I care - this guy could ruin Christmas for crying out loud.  After our players fought hard, got the bats going just enough...he continues to be Chad.  I understand that we are in rebuilding mode but this guy is not a major-league closer.  Just because he still has the job doesn't mean he isn't terrible.  He would have been replaced on any other ballclub.  As we prepare to contend for the playoffs and hopefully a World Series in the near future...please make sure Chad Cordero is not part of the plan.

Sincerely,
A Nats fan who can't take Chad anymore

Fick is the most useless batter currently in professional baseball and it never fails to mystify me why he remains on the major league roster.  He must have some dirt on somebody or something, because he is just an empty hole in the lineup.

Come on dude our offense was anemic and got dominated for 9 innings even though they had opportunities.

Chad blew it against some bad hitters but yes, the reason we lost is because our offense took the night off.

Only Chad Cordero could allow 3 sissy groundballs to manufacture a run.  The guy is simply bad karma.
