We had some odd things happen to us tonight. Schneider's crushed long out. The balls that never left the infield for the Rockies that resulted in runs. Zimmerman's bonehead running mistake.

Not to mention the BLATANT missed strike three on Holliday - that netted the first run - Yep not our night ...

nope, he struck out. .168 batting average, he's soooooooo bad.

And of course .220 hitting Nook Logan is so dependable that they were gonna pinch hit for him with a .222 hitter... I think you need to change heroes

No LET'S!

I just don't want to offend some of the other posters with the "LOSER" mentality.  ;)

Langerhans and Fick would make a fine platoon in left field in Columbus.

Even though Langerhans is a more valuable player. They are both great defensively, both have good outfield speed, neither can hit to save their lives, and the reason Nook was traded from Detroit was because he's a one dimensional player, and Langerhans was traded twice this season, was because he cant hit either. Standing up for Nook over Langerhans, is like saying Glass is a better owner than Angelos.

Actually he did get injured again, he's gone back to Viera to take care of shoulder and ankle problems

But basically what everyone else says about him, he's fragile.  He's great when he's not hurt, but tends to injure easily.

The Nationals are dead LAST in home runs hit in MLB.

Fick, Logan, Jimenez, and Bastita ALL have ZERO home runs in 2007.  NONE of these guys should be on this team in 2008, if they can't hit ONE out, in ANY stadium.  Langerhans has as many HRs as Kearns, with HALF as many at-bats.  That doesn't speak well of Kearns, who is beginning to STINK UP my signature!

The ONLY reason why I wouldn't mind keeping Nook around is because of his lightning quick speed on the bases and his defensive abilities. He could run for half of this overall slow team in the late innings and could replace 1 or 2 guys in the field as well. He should be our double switch pinch runner.

I still think Langerhans will put it together some day, but we need someone else to get a shot...if Langerhans has options.

I'm gonna start calling Sens "ghost".  As soon as he's here, he disappears just as quickly & quietly.

Escobar's and Patterson's names need to be erased from the Nationals' ledger ad lexicon.
