My last Keys game story comes from the 1994 strike season. 2 or 3 of my nephews and my brother came down for a Red Sox at B-more series. Tbh, it's the only time my brother has made it down here. At any rate, we were set to see a game when they declared the lock out. Still wanted to see a game, so we went up to Frederick when they were playing the Sox affiliate. Must have been 1994. I think we saw Tom Goodwin butcher a fly to center in the bad lights. I forget who else we saw that night who made it to the bigs.

Was Frederick High-A? Boston currently uses Greenville, SC which is FAR from home.

At the very least, I'd love the Nats and White Sox flip. Charlotte is closer to DC and Rochester closer to Chicago. Or do a "three way trade" and the Nats get Durham, Rays get Charlotte, and the Sox get Rochester.

In my perfect world, the Iron Pigs would be the Nats AAA because, well, I love it there.

Would love for the Nats to have an affiliate in Richmond.

It will almost certainly be Baltimore's team, relocating from Aberdeen.  The mayor of Aberdeen has almost directly said publicly the team is leaving, and it's owned by the same group that owns Frederick.

I thought Ripken owned Aberdeen? It's now 20 years old, but isn't it a decent park?

He doesn't anymore.  And it's not up to the current facility standards and the city doesn't want to pay.  Frederick ponied up for the upgrades.
