Additional stats:
Williams: 1.09 HR/9, .358 BABIP, 66.1 LOB%, 18.3 K%, 6.5 BB%
AJ S-S: 0.83 HR/9, .302 BABIP, 85.4 LOB%, 24.6 K%, 10.9 BB%

Williams clearly has been hurt by the high BABIP. High BABIP in turn may lead to runs getting knocked in, thus the low  LOB%. Bad bullpen may not help.

Smith-Shawver walks guys; let's see if the Nats let him.

Well, in typical VA incompetence/indifference, my primary care physician, who rarely manages to physically show up at the hospital, also apparently decided to skip a teleconference appointment. So I guess I get to watch some afternoon baseball.

Tena error got the runner on who scored.  Now 2 on 2 out so rest will be unearned.

nah, Soroka stays in the rotation, shows his stuff, gets dealt. Williams, otoh, can take middle innings.

I'd like to see this team start forcing pitchers to throw more P/IP - opposing pitchers get off so easy with this Darnell approach.

He will be worth more as a back end reliever than a starting pitcher who can't get through 5 innings

sure, but I think he'll be going 5-6 and 90+ pitches in the next couple of starts.

Need 4 runs? Of course try to steal in front of Wood. Wouldn't want him up with baserunners and outs are things to giveaway.

Challenge successful. All is forgiven

Btw- this l-r-l alternation is what Davey loves. That's why they tried forcing Crews into #2 at the start of the year

Doesn't work, but like Rizzo he repeats his mistakes.  And at least it gives you a profile theme.
