I think the game is suffering from paralysis by analysis. We have videos and stats for everything and fundamentals are forgotten. The Nats have a gas problem. Brain farts during game.

I'm generally a fan of "the analytics stuff" as Hickey likes to call it, but you're right, this team has a poor culture that's hard to measure, but one impact is the constant miscues in the field.

Sunshine:  If Parker throws 20 or fewer pitches this inning-it'll be the rare game where the other team has thrown more pitches after 3 innings than the Nat pitcher.

The players need to accept a big part of responsibility. They have been doing this for years to make the big bucks. Sometimes they don't fit a system but the game is still mostly the same we played as kids for free.

Be nice if I had a clue what the ground rules are for this stadium. A yellow band or something to indicate fair/foul or in/out might be nice.

Fair point, but they don't set the culture here, ownership on down to the field coaches are so rotten that it would be hard for any player to change it.

If this team were an apple the skin would be bright red,  worm holes filled with clay and then spray painted  over top of a rotten apple
