We've discussed this millions of times, it was a salary dump regardless of what language Rizzo was using to cover for Mini Me's refusal to spend.  A true rebuild would not have included asking the Dodgers to take one of Max's $15m deferral payments, it would have gotten more value back in players.  The number of fans who fell for Rizzo's PR was concerning, but their numbers have dwindled.

Yes we've discussed this a bunch of times. Salary dump works for me.

The season prior to winning the World Series he missed the playoffs with arguably an even better team than the World Series team. And we all know how the World Series season started. He’s just not good. We’ve sucked for 7 out of the 8 years he’s been the manager. At some point the being good for a stretch during one season has to cease to be enough.
