my phone says rain for several hours. Let's see if they play a half inning then pull the tarp if the Nats lead.

82 through 6. I think Irvin will pitch the 7th.

Remind me again why Irvin is a 5th starter?

He and Parker are exactly when any modern staff needs.  Lots of endurance, low P/IP, but without dominant K/9 ratios.  Logan Webb is that kind of pitcher and is the Giants #1.  The idea that a #1 has to throw 100 mph has become dated with all the injuries and difficulties getting to the 6th or 7th.

the problem with big pitchers is you can bunt and they can't pick it up on a wet field.

3-0 as RotY Crews scores on a bunt from Abrams by the pitcher.

Give him credit for grabbing a liner that could have blown the game open.

So who gets the 8th?

lefty McNeil leads off, so let's hope not Poche, maybe Ferrer

It's a weird team. Davey says it takes different types of players. they certainly have that.

Lindor - switch hitter
Soto - left
Alonso - right.

That's the minimum for Ferrer unless he gets out of the inning quicker.

Unpopular opinion: This team is fun to watch until the late innings, unless Finnegan is on the mound.
