Thanks to the Dodger and Phillie fans, and bad weather in many places, the Nats actually rank 16th in attendance.

The three SoCal teams are the top 3, in part due to weather but also San Diego has become an incredibly popular draw since the Chargers left town.  Giants aren't far behind.  Seeing a lot of renewed interest in the Giants this year with Buster taking over baseball ops and more exciting players, especially a healthy Jung Hoo Lee.

7 game homestand vs the Orioles and Mets should bring in enough visiting fans to hold the 26k average, especially the weekend Mets series

66-96 pace...it's still early...

dave can only "manage" 161 games at the most...resulting in one less loss than the team total...a stat that Baseball Reference has not taken into account, so his win/loss record according to BR is incorrect, though their estimated .448 win percentage would have gotten most managers/coaches in just about any sport fired by now...

Lucky us...

Thanks to O.A.R. and the summer concert series kick off, along with an army of Mets, Phillies, and Dodgers fans, holding at 26k and 19th overall, just ahead of last year's finish of 22nd, with just over a 1/4 of the home schedule now complete.

Interesting that besides the Marlins, Rays, Orioles, and A's, every other team below the Nats is an AL/NL Central division team, migration away from the Midwest (and Baltimore) is a real long term issue for MLB attendance, especially when the league has a light presence is so many growing areas.

they should have the guts to put a 3rd team in NY metro like the NHL. MLB in North Carolina, Nashville, Austin / San Antonio, maybe a second in Houston . . .

Salt Lake and Nashville are screaming for teams, but doubt anything happens until next decade.  MLB is good at handing over growing markets to other sports until they're almost tapped out of spending power.  It's insane MLS is in so many of these places and at most they have AAA teams when it comes to baseball.

They aren’t valuable markets. Look at the Titans and Jazz

These next 7 home games vs. the Rockies and Marlins should help the W-L, but could be dreadful attendance-wise with few visiting fans.   Good thing it's not in April.

I just checked, we're 20th in attendance according to ESPN with an average of 26k per game. Not bad considering the team sucks, I guess.

I noticed that St Louis is in 13th at 30k AVG per game. That's quite impressive, considering their ballpark seems empty every time I flip channels and end up watching a Cards game. On the other hand, Toronto is in 14th and their ballpark always seems full every time I watch their games lol. Could be a coincidence.

Really curious about attendance Saturday afternoon 6/14. First, the time was moved to peak sun time a week from the solstice. I'd love the sunscreen concession. Second, traffic already is the worst CF I've seen. It might be that the best way to drive from NoVa is to go over the Wilson Bridge and up 295. I can see folks bagging it or trading out, with zero walk up sales.

Over 31k last night for the Marlins.  Never underestimate the power of 1am Nelly concert.

Today's numbers will be interesting.

Still averaging 3k more than the Leeches in spite of much higher ticket prices.  While they now have a better owner, only so much you can do with so little stadium revenue.  At least all the Terra Club plan holders can supply enough Lernerbucks to prop up the failing real estate business.

1) Lots of cash flow in sports team; you do wonder if there's been a need to siphon off some with the decline of malls and other Lerner holdings.
2) as for today, I can say I traded my tickets for another date to avoid the CF of trying to get from Arlington to the Park. I didn't relish having to switch at Archives or L'Enfant via metro, and biking has been impossible this week with all the preps for the downtown parade.

It's funny - June night games mid-week are about my favorite games on the schedule every year. Warm but usually not super hot, lots of light, etc... I'm also a fan of 4:05 starts. Just the move to 1:05, a week from the solstice, had me annoyed to begin with.

On pace for 2,109,483...at 26,043 per home game...

Those free concerts are packin' 'em in!  Mini Me can likely claim that the gate on concert days is not subject to revenue sharing since it's not baseball related...

Down to 25,698/game after 36 home games...or 2,081,538 over the full season...

I'm still bettin' < 2MM for the 81 home games with only 3 game-day concerts left...

seems high given rain / rockies / and the way the Nats have been playing. Makes the case that there are probably around 10-11k season ticket holders at this point.

nah. This was a game to trade out of for something you liked better.

The generous trading rules are about the biggest advantage being a full season SPH has. I have a group member who picks up almost 1/4 of my package of pairs and they consolidate the games into 6 or so for the season. I have another guy who is a Phillies fan and he gets a 4 for one game in one series and 2 seats for one game in another series. It doesn't matter what his 3rd game is. I'd say at least 1/4 of my games get traded.

Can you trade out to watch a different team than the Nats?

Not at present, but that certainly would be a great option for 2026...especially if dimwit dave is still at the helm...
