Tennis 2025

Good results for the Americans so far. Three women and two men into the quarterfinals. 19 year old Learner Tien had a great tournament but lost in round of 16.

Keys upsets Swiatek. Will now face number one Sabalenka. If she can beat those two back to back it will a monumental accomplishment.

Yea I’m watching a replay now. Quite an accomplishment to beat the world number one and two players back to back. And she beat some other good players on the way. She hits like a man and especially the forehand. And that’s a compliment. I believe she hits them in the 70 MPH range consistently. Apparently she switched racquets and strings recently to get more control. Should have done that before.

Tommy Paul becomes first American male to make the quarterfinals at Roland Garros since 2003.

Tiafoe joins him in the quarterfinals.  Shelton lose to Alcaraz in four sets.  No disgrace there.

Djokovic is playing great for a 38 year old.

Tow American women through to the quarters.  Unfortunately Gauff and Keys play each other.  Pegula continues to suffer the Buffalo Bills curse.

Tiafoe loses in four sets.  Tommy Paul blown away by Alcaraz.  Looking like an Alcaraz and Sinner final. They seem to be at another level.

Coco comes back to win it in three sets.  Amazing match.

Mens final is number one and two also so should be riveting.

Every time Sinner gets to the edge of closing it out, Alcaraz battles back.

wouldn't be surprised if the 5th set ends up in a tiebreaker

Amazing final.  Going to the wire.  I didn’t think we would ever see battles again like Federer versus Nadal and then later Djokovic.  But here we are.

Yea that was amazing tennis.  The last set tiebreaker was a let down but so be it. These guys will be battling for years.

Saw that both alcaraz and nadal won their fifth grand slam at 22 years, 1 month, and 3 days.  More evidence we live in a simulation. 😀

Seeds are dropping out of Wimbledon fast.  Including Americans.  They are dropping like Nats on the base path.  Drink.

Fritz and Shelton into the quarters.  Sinner is currently down two sets and that would be a big opening for Shelton if he loses.

Just one American female left.  Anisamova. Probably not much of a chance there.

Yes terrible luck when he was ahead.  Bad luck for Shelton too.

Yes it will be tough for Fritz to beat him in the semis.  Shelton against Sinner tomorrow. Apparently the latter has some sort of hand or wrist injury.  So maybe the American has a chance.

Anisamova made the semis on the women’s side. She will face Sabalenka.  Good luck.
