As they looked interesting, and there was some discussion during the relevant games, I decided to try and track-down some of the give-away shirts - the soccer, football and hockey shirts. Managed to find them, on e-bay, for $9 each. The soccer shirt was opened, but unworn, whilst the other two were still in their original un-opened packaging.

So, what are they like? Obviously, as give-aways, the quality is not that of a bought shirt - lighter gauge material, and graphics are printed, not sown or heat applied. Print quality is fine - not such an issue as, over here, many soccer replicas have printed graphics (clubs are reluctant to sell player-issue shirts as fraudsters try to pass them off as 'match-worn', thereby inflating their value.). The soccer shirt is almost too convincing - the Nationals badging is small, in relation to the shirt, so at first glance it looks like a soccer shirt with no Nationals connection. The football (NFL type) shirt looks much better 'in-the-material' than it did on TV. - I'm quite taken with it. Ironically, the lighter gauge material would probably make it a comfortable wear in hot and humid DC, in the Summer. My only regret is that it features the 'Capitol W' rather than the 'Curly W' badge. As predicted, the hockey shirt is the best of the three - well printed and good detailed finishing - I can see it becoming a regular wearer.

Generally very satisfied with all three, especially at the price...If you only chase one, then go for the hockey shirt.
