How fast is he projected to move through the system? He definitely fields better than CJ, but in a greedy world, I'd want them both on the team (that assumes King continues to rise and hit).

mlb pipeline has him as a 2027 arrival. Figure next year he starts at A or A+ and with a little luck gets as far as AA. That would put him on track for a 2026 debut but that's an optimistic scenario. He is 21 already though.

Off to a slow start in his first 8 games with the FredNats with just a .599 OPS.  Finally got his first walk.

Hitting lots of singles, OPS over .700.  But just one walk in 47 PAs.  Lots of speed with 5 SBs.

@Seaver_2_  recorded his second three-hit performance in his last 3 G, including a triple in the 9th that sparked a four-run rally for
@FXBGNats. King now has five multi-hit games in his first 11 games.

Seaver King's been in pro ball for 13 games, and he already has 3 triples.

The
@Nationals
' first-rounder out
@WakeBaseball
 ties it up with a three-bagger for the
@FXBGNats

His triples are due to speed.  Still has zero HRs, zero doubles, and just one walk.

His walk rate's under 2%, which is below all 136 MLB hitters who qualify based on number of PAs.  Already have hitters on this team who swing at everything but make soft contact.  Looks like a fit with the team philosophy of giving away outs and making the opposing pitcher's life easy, but he's not struggling like a complete bust.

He’s been playing pro ball for about two weeks.

They seem to have gotten King into a lot fewer games than they did last year's top 4 picks. Pinckney, for example, got into 2 complex-level games and 39 games between A, A+, and AA last year, with 82 & 83 PAs at A and A+.  King is just up to 73 PAs and 16 games. The Blue Rocks season closes this Sunday, so I don't imagine King will get a bump up this year. Crews skipped Wilmington last year, but still got 160+ PAs at all levels.

King makes Jim Bowden's list of 10 prospects primed to make his Top-50:

Considered one of the best in the league, the Nationals’ amateur scouting department placed a big bet in this year’s draft on infielder Seaver King, whom they selected with the 10th pick, higher than his consensus projection. At Wake Forest last season, he reached base at a 38 percent clip with 16 home runs and 11 steals. Since being drafted, he’s posted a .367 on-base percentage over 90 plate appearances, with 10 stolen bases in 11 attempts. He was the most underrated prospect in this year’s first round.
