Nationals @ Reds, Game 2
« on: March 30, 2024, 03:35:41 pm »
Washington Nationals vs Cincinnati Reds
                   Great American Ball Park
                   3/30/2024 - 4:10 PM EDT
Patrick Corbin (LHP, 0-0, 1st start) vs. Hunter Greene (RHP, 0-0, 1st start)

MLB Debut of Trey Lipscomb

Nationals
1. CJ Abrams (SS)
2. Lane Thomas (RF)
3. Jesse Winker (LF)
4. Joey Meneses (DH)
5. Joey Gallo (1B)
6. Keibert Ruiz (C)
7. Eddie Rosario (CF)
8. Luis Garcia (2B)
9. LaVictor Lipscomb (3B)

Reds
1. Jonathan India (DH)
2. Spencer Steer (LF)
3. Christian Encarnacion-Strand (1B)
4. Jeimer Candelario (3B)
5. Santiago Espinal (2B)
6. Elly De La Cruz (SS)
7. Stuart Fairchild (CF)
8. Luke Maile (C)
9. Will Benson (RF)

Source for the lineup is Fangraphs. Note that MLB is so unfamiliar with Trey Lipscomb that the use his given name of "LaVictor." Batting 9th, so I guess Victor is a name they are used to down in that spot.

Greene pitched to a 7.20 ERA in 15 spring training innings, striking out 19 but giving up 14 hits (3 homers) and 10 walks for a WHIP of 1.600. Greene had a 4.82 ERA last season, striking out 152 in 112 innings.

Corbin's gonna Corbin.

LaVictor Antwain "Trey" Lipscomb shares a birthday with my nephew and the United States Army.

I can't see the flags in the MASN broadcast, but the weather forecast is winds around 15 mph out to LF, gusting to up to 30.

Wait a second

Your outfielders can just throw the ball at/through the cutoff man?
