Good for Victor. Just needed to get out of DC I think. I tend to think Seattle will regret it but we shall see.

i'd bet a dollar the Mariners are going to regret that deal.

Probably not nearly as much as the Nats are regretting the Ruiz deal...

That the White Sox gave Senzel a major league deal might be the utmost testament to the futility of the organization.

Watching the longest game in MLB this season Guardians/Yankees. Top of the 12th. Score 3-3. The Indians had stranded 18 players, 12 of them in scoring position. Our hero Lane Thomas pinch hits in the 12th and doubles home the gift runner from second. Later in the inning after the Guardians had scored another run and had the bases loaded, another of our hero's Juan Soto dives for a soft liner to right-center. He misses it and it goes to the wall. Three runs score. Game.

Robles hitting .191/.247/ .294 in the month of August. Now we just wait for the boneheaded plays to start

well, they signed him to a 2 year extension.

I won't root against him, but I've grown skeptical about flashes of 2019 for him (lots of luck behind surface great numbers).

hate to see how his body is giving him trouble the past couple of years when he  seems to have figured things out. It's not like Rendon, who had the great stretch here, got rewarded, then had the injuries at the IDGAF stage of his career. Robles I think enjoys the game and has gotten to the point where his attitude (maturity) isn't an obstacle.

The games I've watched of him in Seattle he looks like he's having a blast. I hope he's okay and does well.

Senzel has somehow accrued -1.2 WAR in 10 games with the White Sox.  That's pretty impressive.  Hitting an even .100 with no power surely helps.  Can't imagine he's around much longer, even on that roster.

Max scratched from his rehab start. MLBTR has a long piece on the various ailments he has been dealing with this year, mostly shoulder related:

Doesn't sound like he'll make it back this year.

I'd think signing with the 2024 White Sox would cost you a win in your WAR stats.

Yes. Better all around than Robles or Gallo or Rosario or the other guy they just dropped. Can play any OF position and he is a fine fielder. Has always had power.
