In fashion news, the new Revenue Chief wore high waters on stage. No idea about what's in style for 2024 but in 1984 that would have gotten you beaten up at my school.

The woman who announced the promotional items wore a cape. An actual cape. I've never seen one in real life. No idea what she was saying because she was wearing a cape.

My wife has a Burberry cape. Consider yourself lucky that yours doesn’t.

Could be an idea for the next city jersey.

Here are the walks per inning ratios for our pitchers from last year who were above the MLB average. Weems is on the hot seat.

I think Weems is not guaranteed a spot coming out of the spring. Thompson will get a hard look. I'm going to assume they want to keep Rutledge stretched out as a starter, but if they want him to break him in as a reliever, then that's another competitor for that bullpen slot. I'll also assume there will be some minor league contracts with major league camp invites given to some relievers. Hobie Harris type deals.

good recap. I missed the mention of Lipscomb and Baker when Rizzo discussed the minors. Sort of passing mention. They also have the Doolittle joke about his role in strategy right - "Don’t allow the other team to score more runs than you do." My paraphrase was off, but same point.

As for philanthropies, they got a lot of applause for the work. I did wonder about the snow ball fight with Zim. Probably the safest place when Zim was throwing was where he was trying to hit. I could imagine his scoop and throw in one motion might be good at hitting back when attacked.

Wow, how bad does that road uniform sported by Davey look? High and tight works for pitches, not teeny generic lettering on jerseys.

Didn't help that Davey looks like he put on more than a few this offseason. I would have preferred bringing back the old Fuddruckers font on the road grays to what they are using.

Fuddruckers would be an awesome team sponsor as well, maybe convert the red porch into one?
