Tim Wakefield has been diagnosed with brain cancer.

Unfortunately the news was shared by Curt Schilling, who was asked by Wakefield's family not to share it.

In a life full of "I'm a piece of crap" moments this one takes the cake for Schill  :evil:

Tim Wakefield was a class freaking act and when that knuckleball was dancing really fun to watch pitch, this absolutely sucks :(

Wakefield is the Sox's charity head, I think, and hugely active in support of the Jimmy Fund, the big pediatric cancer charity and research institute
