Also I cannot remember how to post :w:
select modify on the opening post, and below the thread title, there's a toggle. Hit it, and go to the bottom of the drop down list. Select curly w, then save.

Cardiac Kids type baseball. But they often win late. Suits me fine. Now onto 3rd place in the division.

With the :w: posted, we honor our friend Old Chelsea with the traditional post that tracks the Nats wins to date, in Anglophile style.

THE RACING PRECEDENTS: Comparative dates on which the Nationals notched their 61st win, each season:

2017 - 27th July (100th match of season)
2012 - 29th July (101st match)
2016 - 29th July (103rd match)
2014 - 6th August (112th match)
2019 - 7th August (114th match)
2005 - 13th August (116th match)
2018 - 16th August (122nd match)
2013 - 20th August (125th match)
2011 - 21st August (125th match)
2015 - 22nd August (122nd match)
2023 - 26th August (130th match)
2007 - 5th September (138th match)
2006 - 6th September (139th match)
2010 - 14th September (147th match)
2021 - 19th September (149th match)
---
2022- finished 55-107 (.340)
2009 - finished 59-103 (.364)
2008 - finished 59-102 (.366)
2020 - finished 26-34 (.433)

Davey is 3 wins from tying Frank Robinson for 4th on wins by an Expo /Nat franchise manager. Nats next win milestone is 2021 (65) then 2010 (69).

This is a fun team to watch continue to get better.  Irvin is showing he’s at least a number four

Nats have some pitching depth. Still would like to see then acquire a front of the rotation guy

the past two starts, by Adon yesterday and Irvin today, may be a sign that the rotation is a lot closer to complete than we thought. You may be right that they still need the lead dog, perhaps a righty that Gore lines up behind, but I'm also very interested in seeing Cavalli. They may be able to pull together a no super star but no slouch 1-5.

Angels just beat the Mets, 5 - 3. Alonso hit in the neck by a curve that bounced off his shoulder. Left the game. Mets used six relief pitchers to follow their starter, Carrasco, who got pulled in the second.

funny you say that.  Bell would look good in this line up for the next few years. He's under contract for next year at $16.5 million. I think Miami might deal him.
