I actually think House ends up the big trade bait.
this team has waited forever to develop a legit 3B prospect. I don't think they move House. He's a cornerstone piece.

they have a lot of 3B prospects. All it takes is one of them to click. It's not going to be Lipscomb, it could be Tena if he can field, Morales is getting reps, Wallace is highly ranked, and there's even a shot at Chaparro. One of those 4 shows enough before next August, and House  may become available.

Gata of course will go nuts but I don't think he looks at the Pinckney thread.

I don't think there's any way they deal House.

They got Wallace so they could deal House or move him to first. House is the only prospect that can headline a trade for the pitcher Rizzo will want.

interesting it's him not Hassell, although Hassell has been hurt off and on.

Hassell did well until he hurt his wrist again. Maybe he heals over the off-season, if the Nats' medical staff figures out what has gone wrong with the wrist surgeries since he broke his hamate. Look for himi in the spring to begin Rochester.

First week at AAA was productive: 24 ABs: .292 / .320 / .417, 2 SBs and a HR.

That's a pleasant start. This guy may be a useful trade chip behind a jammed OF if he keeps it up.

he's reached AAA and does not have to be added to a team's 40 man roster until after 2 more seasons. That has value.

Like I posted in main board yesterday, for first time in a long time Nationals suddenly have trade flexibility. We can move a prospect or two from the infield, outfield, pitching staff and not be completely barren in that area. It was already headed that way with the 2023 draft looking strong early, and the deadline deals gave just a bit more depth.

Had the Nationals even wanted to compete back in 2022, coming out of 2021 there wasn't a prospect pool to choose from. If the Nats this offseason want to start really pushing, the system is stocked to do so.

I think if Pinckney was at this point in his career but it was September 2021, he may actually have been the top hitting prospect in the system depending on your opinion of Brady House.
