Not many games tonight. The eyes of the baseball world will be on Citi Field. I can’t help but think of FP when I see Mister Met. I guess it takes creepy to know creepy.

Watching the Mets broadcast. They showed that Dickerson won the Gold Glove one year. 2019 I think.

Davie in Fairfax, I guess the weather in Queens "Weather: seems OK", since I grew up in Washington. The summer after I graduated high school, I worked for the Maryland National Capital Parks and Planning Commission helping to build a park way down around the Beltway, the almost new Beltway, near Fort Washington. We worked down along a little creek digging out saplings and brush, and all July the high temperature was never less than 90. Having spent a couple summers in the Bay Area, I now call this hot and humid weather "unspeakable". (Just looked at DC weather, which is 91...we are "only" at 88, so maybe that's "OK"?)

Why does Dickerson keep showing up in the lineup?

Darling notes that Gray’s right shoulder is opening up. A shame the Nats pitching coach could not see that. Fortunate to get out of that.

Did they actually call a sacrifice there? Looked that way. Didn't look like a bunt for a hit. Weird

Until I was 16, I spent a grand total of three days outside of Florida, and all but maybe 6 months of that was in South Florida (I was born about 2 miles east of the Nats spring training complex). 95°F feels normal to me. 75°F is winter weather.

Ed Kranepool at the game. He has a book out. Might have to buy that. Loved those Mets teams. I also might have to buy Eric Kratz new book. Backup catcher with a few teams.

Mets seem to like their players on the hefty side or very skinny.

I don't have a problem with the Call steal attempt. Need RISP before the top of the order. Great throw.
