Should pull Diaz. Asking him to go out for the 8th means you lose him tomorrow, and you have to win both games. It's low lev now.

It's not like Showalter ever got fired from a New York managing job mostly for freaking up pitching decisions in the playoffs or anything.

Seranthiny has been terrible the past few weeks. Big mistake to put him in.

Showalter is a bad manager.

Had a 5 run lead. Has run up the pitch counts on both his top relievers

Josh October

That was a pretty good day of baseball.  Maybe this format is OK.

Good news Nats fans.  At least one NL East team will be in the NLCS.

The Best Fans in Baseball were treated to some great pitching by Wheeler and Nola. I know they appreciate that.

As the Best Fans in Baseball, I am sure that they handled this with total equanimity

The Mariners are reminding me of the 2019 Nats.  Hopefully they too will dispatch the Trashtros.

Is this play-by-play guy from NESN? Sounds familiar.

EDIT: Sounds like there might be more than one.

No. Pbp is a regular espn desk guy (Karl Ravech?), with Cone and Eduardo Perez as color.
I think nesn Dave O'Neil did the bj Mariners series.

I actually meant color commentator. No idea why I wrote PBP.

The self-proclaimed genius named Showalter pulls a Paul Richards move. Richards, manager for Baltimore, used to demand that the umpires search Pedro Ramos whenever Ramos was pitching well. Bush league move.
