Played 3B today for the FredNats when I saw them in Salem.
I think they've got something here. Solid development, both physical and skills-wise, from when I saw him at the same level last August. I didn't see him have to show off the arm, but he made a very nice play on the backhand on a liner and also handled a bad outfield throw very well on a cutoff, saving a base. Potential plus runner who could also play OF, probably including CF.
Tall, still quite lanky righty hitter who isn't going to fill out enough to force a move off 3B. Good plate coverage, and pitch recognition seems very good for a 19-year-old in full season ball. Hits the ball hard, with his hands quick to the ball. He won't have a ton of power yet, but I could see it developing. I'd expect his numbers to continue to improve and him to start appearing on prospect lists midseason given his combination of age, tools, and production. I think the Nats may agree with my views: he's hitting cleanup, which is a great sign at 19 in A ball.
