Corbin Adams pairing. DSG at short. Maybe minor sun issues still in the top of the 1st.

If anyone is at the park, what does the balance of Nats vs. Mets fans in the stands look like?

3rd base line in the lower level is mets, but, tbh, rest is mostly red colors. I would sat 25% mets fans?

Walter Johnson, 1911 through 1921 beat that. Barney had an off hitting year, and then .697 in 1924, and 1.033 in 1925, the season he set the all-time record for hi.433tting by a starting pitcher. Johnson hit .433.

Best I ever saw in the "old days" was Camilo Pascual in 1959: hit .302, with .666 OPS. That year, Pascual, who was 25, won 17 games, and led the AL with 17 complete games and 6 shutouts.

yes, he could hit a bit.

I didn't see it: how bad of a jump did Yadi get there. Seemed like he should score on a 2 out double

Nimmo cut the ball off before it got to the wall. Perfect throw to the cutoff….perfect relay to the plate. Out by 5 yards v

My cousin Rick Rhoden had a career OPS of .576.

Incidentally, Walter Johnson had a lifetime OPS of .616: https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/j/johnswa01.shtml

Camilo a lifetime OPS of .506. He was uneven in his last years, while Johnson got more interested in hitting. Walter Johnson was one of the few right-handed hitters to hit a homer over the right-centerfield fence at Griffith Stadium, about 438 feet over a 30 or 40-foot wall.

heck of a decision by McNeil. Don't know if they scouted something. Otherwise, that had high blockhead potential
