i'd attribute it as well to the slowness of the games, and the late start on the east coast.

What about Alex Avila? I don’t know a ton about him but he seems well-spoken in the few interviews I’ve seen and he wants to stay in baseball.

He's done spots on the MLB Network...maybe he wants to get into that arena...

If Carp is indeed back in the booth...maybe Mike Shildt becomes his color man...I heard he's available...

broadcasting to managing has happened before. Bob Brenley is the best example. There's others.

If we want a DC appropriate colour commentator, how about Sam The Eagle?... :hysterical:

Don’t pile it on guys!  But, Drew Storen once sneaked into the Pressbox with the TV guys for an inning or so!  I forget if he was injured or what?!  He was good at being a commentator!  I believe Bob even commented on him trying to take his job (in a joking way). He was responsible for the Goon Squad T-shirt and building bleachers so the bullpen could watch the game!

For the British spelling (colour), I'd go with Eddie The Eagle.

I'd go with Eddie The Eagle.

Now let's see...Eddie The Eagle, someone who took leaps into the unknown without really knowing what he was doing. It could work, at least for the next season or two... :hysterical:

Plus he probably doesn’t need the gig. Life has been good to him so far.

He spent the last year Rocky Mountain way so one never knows.  Every time the bases are loaded he claims Casey is at bat.

Me too.

I don't think they will, at least as long as Bob is still in the TV booth.

I love that everyone just acknowledges MASN is insanely cheap and will just hire a former recent Nat despite that list of people having no experience on the job.

Justin Maxwell, Michael Morse were both awful on broadcasts but that won't stop MASN from throwing $100k at someone like that to come be a pain on air for 150 games.

Color job even for someone like Maxwell has gotta pay at least $200K, no? An experienced guy, much more I'd guess.
