I believe he was part of the Doolittle trade before that incident

You're right....I had to look it up.  I seemed to recall reading somewhere that he was a student at the time, my bad

Wiki page says "Early life
Luzardo was born to Venezuelan parents[1] in Lima, Peru,[2] although Luzardo identifies as Venezuelan.[3] He moved to South Florida at the age of one and later attended Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. He graduated in 2016. He was late for a practice at the school on the day of the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in 2018, and was warned to stay away.[4]"

actually, it was on 2/14/18. I think he was getting in pre-camp throwing at his old HS field. Not that strange.

If anyone who can make it to tomorrow's matinee wants to go, hit me up.  My evil plan to play hooky wound up being a bust.

I lived close to Marjorie Stoneman Douglas (the naturalist/author, not the school) back in the day.  She was like 100+ and was probably the only person in Miami to live without air conditioning (by choice, anyways).

I grew up in Lake Worth without air-conditioning. Not by choice, though.

He is a grad of the school. He got a text message warning from coach Todd Fitzgerald and also texted warnings to others. He has also raised funds for victims. Why would he go into easily checked details if it is not true?

Two walked-in runs against the Marlins is reason to shoot in the air and burn stuff after this season

Marlins must have rented their bullpen from the Nats.
