One of the best views of any stadium in baseball. Maybe the best.

I feel that the Nats Wilmer Difo energy dome was a missed opportunity.

"Are we not men?"
"We are Difo!"

Middle of the order in the sixth as the test for Corbin.

Bob mentions a 3 bagger for Soto.  We need Cope or FP to explain that concept.

Those late 70s Pirates hat looked almost like black and yellow energy domes, except they were tubular and not conical.

I expected the AVG and the OBP out of Avila, but I figured he'd have more pop than he's shown.  Just today's homer.

Didn't he have a home run back in the first half of the season to win a game? Maybe a walk-off?

Maybe a walkoff hit that was not a homer? I think I remember Avila interviewed at Nats Park after a game.

(Looked him up in Baseball Ref. Incidentally, Alex Avila is NOT related to Bobby Avila, the fine 2B for the Cleveland Indians in the '50s)

Can the Nats bullpen manage two innings against the Pirates? Is there something about pitching the 9th that causes a reliever to crack?

It would not be a 2021 Nats game without bullpen drama.

So we can conclude that Thompson does not like pitching at the end of a game. Finnegan looks steady, though.
