Was he just an opener or did I miss something?
Coming back from an injury.

Alvarez had just the worst injury last year; good to see him back pitching.

to Slateman:
Soto is NOT slow afoot.  It took some foot speed to tag up and get to 3rd base on that fly ball.

Brebbia looks like a name assembled by someone who got to choose the last letters out of the alphabet soup.  It's impossible to say without sounding like a toddler.

Alvarez :lmao:
How could Alvarez complain? I thought the umpire actually gave him a pitch or two.

Here come the Nats!

If Soto can’t take down Ohtani, he’s a giant vajayjay. Ohtani just knocked one almost 500 feet again.

Too shallow a hit for the send. Another Sendley blunder?

That's an odd play.   Parra should have been able to score there with 2 out.

He always sends the runner in that situation.  Problem is he's not programmed to account for the fact that the pitcher was hitting and the outfielders were shallow.  He just needs to make a coding modification.

Not really. Parra really isnt that fast anymore. With Espino hitting, all the outfielders were playing shallow. The hit was right to Dugger and it was an easy throw
