Didn't he hit a first pitch walkoff a couple of nights ago?

Yeah, he can still hit a ball hard.  Fastballs low over the plate are a dangerous strategy for pitchers to take.  But his OBP is now <.300, not what you'd want.  But sure, start him against lefties makes sense.  Definitely could get hot again.

100 pitches, probably about his pre-determined limit.  If he broke down we'd be dead.  We have pitching challenges enough as it is.

He reminds me of Doug Slaten when he was here. Only reason he is on the team is because he throws left handed.
