Every coach I've ever listened to always shouted "run right at 'em!"  :hysterical:  I've not seen that in a MLB game before.

I believe if the relief pitcher ends an inning, he still has to face a total of 3 batters if he goes back out...
Nope.

So that’s caught stealing third, catcher unassisted, right? That’s a new one...

I think the Phils can catch the Nats for last this year.

Yep.  Never seen that.  Fantastic play by Avila all around.  Best rundown is one with zero throws, but I've never seen a catcher do that between second and third.

Really good win.  Need to win games like that to have any chance.

That tight win against the Braves was a nice win too.  The team has some game.  Hopefully with Soto returning to his "most feared hitter in baseball" self, the offense turns around.

By almost all measures, NL east is weakest division in mlb. (Overall record, most teams with losing record, etc.)

Yup:

Three-batter Minimum
Definition
In an effort to reduce the number of pitching changes and, in turn, cut down the average time per game, MLB instituted a rule change that requires pitchers to either face a minimum of three batters in an appearance or pitch to the end of a half-inning, with exceptions for injuries and illnesses. If a pitcher faces one batter to end an inning, he may be removed, but if he is brought back for a second inning, he must still face two more batters for a total of three.
