Luis Garcia throwing error gifted the Marlins a run in the first inning

Kieboom has the longest, slowest swing I’ve seen since Zimm

If Max goes all the way does it count as a CG?

This team has 2 pretty good but aging starting pitchers, 2 good hitters and maybe 2 good relievers..  good thing we won it all in 2019 otherwise basically the Nats are a dumpster fire on the Titanic.

Lead off double squandered like only the Nats do so flawlessly.

Yes, and if he had allowed zero runs it would count as a shutout:  https://www.mlb.com/news/seven-inning-doubleheaders-no-hitter-rules

For example, Trevor Bauer has 2 CGs this year, both 7 innings: https://www.mlb.com/player/trevor-bauer-545333?stats=gamelogs-r-pitching-mlb&year=2020

So, can I get an early start on using my 20/20 hindsight to second-guess the decision to leave Max in?

Blame Eric if you want but I've said several times before that Kieboom has a strong arm but his accuracy is often just a little off forcing the 1B to often have to dig it out or leave the bag.

It was a poor throw that should have been caught.  But perhaps watching Thames helps people appreciate that Nats first basemen have been pretty good defensively.

I blame Dave when he didn’t pull Max after he loaded the bases.

You heard FP, he doesn’t like working OT.

To be fair, Max got a ground ball to third that should have been the final out.  It's not like the dude put one in the gap.

It says something about the state of the roster when there's nobody better to PH for Stevenson there.

It also sucks that if Turner doesn't get on, then the game's pretty much done - there's about a 500% chance they'd walk Soto to pitch to the #3 hitter.  That shouldn't happen.
