Any news on Suzuki?

he's taken a beating and should probably sit for the next two games or be replaced by Read.

they would've done the same if he pinch hits for him and the hitter K's and then the bullpen yields 3 more runs because they had to get 15 outs.

I know.    It's what they do but it so fits my agenda.     :mg:

It was a tough call--I think the 4th inning was Sanchez' easiest and that probably influenced lil'd.

I can honestly say  ...   at the time  ...  I thought it was odd that he batted.    However, the bullpen scared me more.

The back end of the bullpen is now fully rested. Mostly because he didn’t pinch hit for him. In my opinion he gave up a chance for a slight increase in win probability for game 3 in order to have a much higher win probability for game 4.

Of course if they hit like last night again tonight they will not win.  Then Cole tomorrow.  Yikes.  Better win tonight.

He said in the postgame that he thought about it. What I didn't like was the bunt attempt. There was nothing to gain from that. I would've had him try to run into one. With the infield in, he may have been able to get one past the infielders or maybe a little blooper lands just outside the infield for a single. Or he may been able to hit a flyball that scores Robles.

Agree--did not understand the bunt with no squeeze play.

Bigly Yuge.
I probably should take a nap but too excited. May have to substitute a walk at the gym and some coffee.

Astros played like it was Game 7 last night and I expect them to do the same tonight.  They’ll come out with extra confidence so it’ll be huge to quiet them early and get on the board first.

Just saw Alan May on the MLB pre-game.     Behind home with the Academy kids.
