plus, this team has to be the worst bunting team in the history of the game >:(

Although Sanchez laid down probably the best bunt I’ve ever seen against the Cubs.

This is gonna be one of those nights where we hear nothing but  ...   "Astros this and Astros that."     Let's kick their arse early and move on.

I can honestly say  ...   at the time  ...  I thought it was odd that he batted.    However, the bullpen scared me more.

Can't remember the last time I've seen Ross pitch. There wasn't much to inspire confidence.

Mariano just said Stras is probably the best starter left to go in the Series.

Am I the only one getting the sense that people's enthusiasm has been dampened after last night's loss?

I sense that too, remember, we're Nats fans, we've been conditioned to expect playoff collapses.

Time to turn this thing around - it all starts.....right now!

Joe Ross was brought back as a starter July 21. He got clobbered twice, but gave up 0 to 2 earned runs in 7 starts since August 1. He'll probably be our #5 in 2020.

Since his return from Tommy John surgery, he's been trying to develop 4 pitches. The previous knock on him was that he only had 2 pitches.

It was palpable leaving the stadium last night and riding the Metro.  I made a comment to my two buddies that it felt like we just lost Game 3 to go down 2-1 vs up 2-1 based on the mood around us. But it’s kind of expected from Nats fans.  It reminds me of the mood after the Game 3 loss in the NLDS.

Let’s go fellas....win here and put the Astros on the brink!

I wonder if some of yesterday's hype was due to how much the media played into how historic it was to host a World Series game and of course people fall for that crap and now that's passed for them and they're off to the next activity.

I forgot the dude's name and he may not be at channel 7 anymore but I stopped watching that channel because when he led the sports department he made the decision to cover the orioles and ravens first and foremost. I know he's from MD and those were his favorite teams but you can't work at a DC station and feature those two teams. We already deal with that crap from Bob Carpenter.

Nats Xtra broadcast last night and now from the studio in the Baltimore suburbs. Last year, Johnny Holliday & Ray Knight had a desk set up at Nationals Park, where fans passed by.

Tim Brant?

BTW   I don't think I've ever watched a complete Channel 7 newscast and I've been in town almost 50 years.

Yeah that's him, he would show up at Nationals Park when the Nats were in the playoffs and the birds were home watching from their nest.

Tim Brant retired from WJLA in May 2015. I didn't watch his brOdcasts.
