Torrential rain in mid NW with lots of lightning.  Maybe it's better 2 miles south.  We have easily had an inch of rain in the last 20 minutes.

They really ought to start games in the late morning from late June until September.  I'm sure our employers would agree.

It's our sub-tropical weather pattern.    In the 1800s, folks left town because of the posibility of malaria eminating from the canal which is now Constitution AVE.    DC is often referred to as a swamp.     Much of West Potomac Park, Lincoln Memorial area, National Airport, etc. were a swamp at one time.    There is a marker on the Washington Monument grounds where boats used to dock.    Many of the monuments, etc. are built on landfill.    In essence, the swamp will never be drained.   It will only be backfilled with rubble.

The Nats really need a roof.

Was driving up from SC to PWC this evening. Forgot to check on the Nats radio affiliate in beautiful Richmond before we left. And running low on my data this month so didn’t want to use At Bat. Find one game in AM. It’s the BLOS. Find another. flying Squirrels. Turn to FM. Great. Found a game. BLOS again. Finally found the Nats on a station that didn’t come in well. I guess Angelos is right and it’s all BLOS territory in VA.
