Is Gomes suffering from a head injury or something?

Pretty much a direct quotation of what Stras said to Gomes on the way to the dugout.

Howie just knows how to play the game right. Gave himself up to get Rendon over.

Looked like Gomes wanted a change up and Stars threw a fastball anyway.

He knows how to hit. If only this were the AL and we could DH him

On the train back from the horse race (i.e., not at the game).  Nats should have this one locked up.

He definitely is a professional hitter but more than that if this team has a leader it's Howie. I noticed when Rosenthal was struggling Howie went to the mound on a couple of different occasions and tried to help him. This is Howie do it.

I'm assuming it was a good time.

Well, at least no one can complain about using Doolittle in a non-save situation

If I'd known he was going to be there I wouldn't have bet.   :)

Alas, the horse I bet to win (#10 - Everfast) finished 2nd.  Would've been a nice payout.

Have you gone to any of the Memorial Cup games? I never knew until this year that the home town team was included with the champions.

One of The Horses I bet on was the one who bucked his jockey and ran the entire race riderless. I can’t make this crap up.
