You need to consider finances. Hicks is much much cheaper. Another big contract hinders them down the road. They need money to sign Judge and others. They need starting pitching next year.
The Yankees and Dodgers have been manipulating their payroll over the last two seasons to get under the luxury tax threshold, specifically to go on a spending spree this offseason. Money is not an issue for them.
I'm gonna go with the reverse Jayson Werth and vote Philly,
