Just received this from the Nats today, but they don't say if you need tickets to the game or not.  I assume you do, but they don't specify:

Yup, I see that, but it still doesn't say if you need tickets to the game.  It would be helpful if they listed a time for the event.  If it's early, I assume you can go to this without tickets for the game and then they will clear people out before gates open.  But they just don't say, so we just need to guess.

Given that it's in the marketplace, I assume you don't need tickets to the game, but it would still be helpful to get confirmation of that and to know exactly when/where the event takes place (other than generally sometime "prior to the game")

BTW, I checked with my ticket rep and she confirmed that you do not need a game ticket in order to attend the Q&A.  That's what I figured, but good to get confirmation.

The arrest occurred in April, when Werth was playing at the Mariners’ spring training facility in nearby Peoria. The court sentenced Werth to a diversion program, ordered drug and alcohol screening, charged him more than $1,600 in fines and fees, and suspended his driver’s license.

At the time of his arrest, police reported Werth for three violations: Driving Under the Influence of liquor, drugs, or vapors (a charge applied to someone driving “while under the influence of intoxicating liquor, any drug, a vapor releasing substance containing a toxic substance or any combination of liquor, drugs or vapor releasing substances if the person is impaired to the slightest degree”), DUI with a blood alcohol content of .08 or more, and driving without current registration. The second two charges were dropped as part of Werth’s plea agreement.

Srsly.  My annual income is pocket change for that guy and I take Uber or a cab anywhere I'm going at night.

When you have a problem yet don't think you do, you don't take Uber, etc.

I gave him a pass on speeding because I've done it and certain vehicles, like his Porsche, are designed to be driven at that speed.

DUI is nothing to scoff at. I screwed up when I was 21 and was followed by a cop who nabbed me just over the legal limit. I luckily didn't harm anyone else that night, just myself for getting behind the wheel. I was also a dumb 21 year old who learned from that moment. Now as a responsible adult, and with all the information out there and ease of ways to get around, this is inexcusable.

I did it more than once when younger. Different times. But I was lucky. He’s a wealthy dude. No excuse. Can always get a ride.
