After nearly 10 years on this board I discovered the secret to tolerating GDT is to drink a lot (I'm a slow learner.) So tonight I'm drinking manhattans powered by Jefferson Reserve. Ok, bourbon snobs (ahem, DCfan, Tomterp) I'm not mixing anything better.

And in the spirit of drunk posting, I'm going to start by posting a picture of Bernie Brewer. Bernie is in the long long of baseball's really weird tradition of really weird mascots. (Later on, I will tell the story of how when at Shea way back when I noticed Mr. Mets had visible panty lines. Of course, I promptly started calling her MS. Met and got thrown out.)
