Storms projected to hit around 8:00-8:30 and the radar isn't pretty. I'm bailing - the hellacious commute home was enough for me today.

Nothing here yet in western Oakton, and we typically get it about 30-40 minutes before it hits Nats Park.

Here's an idea. Put MAT back in center and let Harper catch

Not positive but didn't he catch at some level?

I think Martinez probably figured if Harper cannot hit Cashner there is no hope whatsoever for him.

At all amateur levels, including high school and college.

Yea FP. Everyone was coming over the Woodrow Wilson bridge so they stayed home!  No one wants to see the BLOS anymore.

And now it's the grounds crew that ball bounced up. Gee whiz. He really does have an excuse for everything bad that happens.

I would switch over to the Bmore broadcast but Palmer has just not been the same since he found out he was not a Kennedy.

What kind of defensive positioning was that. If Murphy gloved that would he have beat Machado to 1st? Didn't look like Gio was going to beat him either.

I enjoy watching MAT play CF a hell of a lot more than I do Harper...or Eaton, for that matter.

They drew 33,391 last night, and typically attendance ticks up each night during the week, in the absence of a weather event or giveaway that distorts the normal pattern.

Last night's crowd was a bit late arriving too, but tonight it looks very empty for now.

More likely the weather threat.  Maybe Metro broke down.

yep.  ALL you had to do, was NOT hit into a double-play...

that's a generational talent, right there.

Traffic sucks tonight. Bob Marbourg was telling people just to stay at work. 395 north into DC is backed up solid back to Landmark.

Looking at the weather radar, maybe some folks just decided not to deal with it.  There is a wall of storm  about to hit Chantilly on its way to DC.    :?

Too bad Tony didn't look back at the play. He could have got in a run down and Soto could've scored.

Not a baseball town--always lots of excuses.  Hop on the metro.  ;)
