The Nats are four games below 500 since 2005 (and since 2004), the 87th victory this season gets them on the plus side side.

While it would be nice to cross the line earlier, I'd like to break 500 in Baltimore in a couple weeks.

As soon as Wednesday the Nats could be .500 all time for the first time since April 2006. This weekend they could be above .500 for the first time since October 2005.

Fake news. They have Davey "the Camel" Martinez as their manager. That guy can't do anything right. He certainly wouldn't have the Nats playing winning baseball heading into June.

It's been a long time coming, 12 years below .500, need to get above and stay above. Nice to hit the mark against Angelos and the Orioles.

It will likely never happen now, we're losing a once-in-a-generation player at the end of this year. Who knew guys could only hit .211 once in a generation?

The Nats were at .500 all time three times last year but have not been over .500 since they were 81-80 going into the last game of 2005. Today they can get back to .500.

Those were some rough times in the 2000s. I still remember that inaugural season playing well and getting our first rental in Junior Spivey thinking baseball was going to be all rainbows and sunshine.

Would never have thought of that name again. I think I remember a discussion about players the Nats picked up and their careers ended not long after.

The first home run I saw the Nationals hit in person was a Junior Spivey dong to LF right after he got acquired.

IIRC Livo hit a HR in the first few weeks of the '05 season - I forget who it was off of (Mutts?). First time I had been present to see a pitcher do that.
