Agreed. It shouldn't have gotten this far. Stars might get a little more leeway, but...

There was another report that Kinzler and Kelley jumped in on an interview that someone was doing with Scherzer and complained about being an NL pitcher, that it shortened your career.  Maybe this has been going on for a while with them.

Unless you’re Harper

I think we can all agree that the Nats are screwed. Last night's game wasn't them suddenly realizing they know how to play sharp baseball. Making the playoffs is very unlikely.

Harper pined for another catcher in a game that he sucked in, if that’s buying in, the nats are freaked

Doolittle called out the manager?

It was hypothetical...

Last nights’ game is a reminder that the season is long. Everyone is getting hyped over an awesome game, but the Braves and Phillies won too so all the nats did was hold their ground

All they did last night was win. What they need to keep doing for the rest of the season. It has to start somewhere. Why not last night?

Great, but they also need other teams to lose.

We all know that. Nats also have 16 games remaining vs. the two teams ahead of them. 10 this month.

Think about it. If you know that so do the other GMs.

Hate to see Glover wasting bullets in Syracuse. If he’s healthy, he should be with the big club.

He’s been out for months. I’m happy to see him getting his footing in AAA. He will be up soon.

Why do people act like Glover is Rivera when he's pitching? He'd last all of five innings any way, who gives a crap about him.

The only important takeaway from last night is that Roark had a second straight awesome start.  The Marlins and Mets suck, but he's looked very good in both starts.  Maybe his troubles were mechanical.  If he can pitch similar to this for the next two months, that's a massive boost for the Nats.

It's worth noting the Roark in 2017 had a pretty solid season with the exception of a horrendous June when his OPS against was a .935! He would rebounded by posting OPS against of .581, .689, and .780. So far he's had OPS against around .630 in March-May, had it jump up to .961 in June, and rebounded to .721 in July. There's reasons to buy into his recent successes in that we saw last season that he can have a long slump and still salvage his season.

Dude just hates June.

I don't get it either. Until he shows it at the big league level I will reserve judgment.

C'mon now, that's not fair. His ERA is way lower if you don't include the games where he gave up runs.

Nats are citing disrespect for dropping Kelley. Why didn’t they drop Nyjer Morgan when he threw the glove   I’m calling BS. Unfortunately our beat reporters are not reporting the facts if they actually know them. And I have been calling since last season to drop Kelley due to his penchant for giving up HR’s.
